Chuck Norris still trains well into his 80s
It’s no secret that Chuck Norris is an accomplished martial artist with a dedicated workout schedule. However, as he’s not been in the spotlight as much lately, this has got people asking whether he’s still training or not. Well, the fact is that he still trains which is pretty incredible considering his age. You can tell this just by looking at his body too, which does not look like that of a man in his 80s – and proves that the martial arts lifestyle truly does bring great physical benefits.
In a 2022 video uploaded by his son Dakota Norris, Chuck could be seen sparring MMA – which involved strikes, takedowns, grappling, and BJJ. As Chuck has a black belt in all of these disciplines (or the equivalent where belts aren’t awarded), you could see he still knows his stuff. Dakota commented, “Just your average sparring session with Chuck Norris. As you can see, he’s hardly lost his touch.”
So, why is Chuck Norris less active regarding his celebrity status these days? Well, as we’ve established – martial arts still play a huge part in his life. However, it’s also evident that he’s just not in the public eye so much. There is a key reason for this as well. Back in 2017, Norris’s wife became ill and contracted gadolinium deposition disease. This is a crippling illness that Norris believed was the result of a botched MRI scan. Understandably as he’s gotten older, he has stepped away from acting to support his wife’s physical condition.
