Rare photos of Eugene Bareman when he was a younger fighter
Eugene Bareman is a legendary kickboxing and MMA coach who is from New Zealand. He has trained MMA and UFC champions such as Israel Adesanya and Alexander Volkanovski from his City Kickboxing gym in Auckland New Zealand. However, little is known about his past and what his own record was as a fighter.
It turns out that his father was Dutch and his mother was from Samoa – which you can see in his physical appearance. Born in 1979, Bareman had a pro MMA record of 4-3. Here, he won his first 3 bouts, before losing 3 in a row – finally winning his last fight in 2013 before retiring and focusing more on coaching.
Primarily a kickboxing coach, you can see his teaching skills in action with the likes of Israel Adesanya whose kicking skills and defensive work is exceptional. As a result, it’s no surprise that Bareman is regarded as one of the best MMA striking coaches around and his students’ results speak for themselves. Before all of that though, he was a fighter himself…look below for more cool photos of Eugene Bareman as a younger fighter.
