What martial arts does Hasbulla train?
Unless you’ve lived under a rock for the past few years, the chances are that you’ll have heard of the Dagestani social media star, Hasbulla. For a while, it was believed that he was either a child or the son of Khabib Nurmagamedov. However, both of these theories are incorrect. Instead, he is a young man who has an illness that has impacted his growth and features, making him appear childlike.
Anyway, what isn’t a rumor is his love of martial arts and in particular, he likes MMA. It’s no secret that he’s also a fan of the UFC and has been sighted on the front row of various high profile events. In fact, a few years back he was actually billed to fight his social media nemesis, Abdul Rozik who is around the same height and weight. However, this one never happened and we’re not quite sure why. So, if you’re interested in whether Hasbulla trains martial arts and whether he’s a fighter then read on.

Hasbulla knows boxing
Hasbulla knows boxing and has been seen training on several occasions. Sometimes he will hit the bag and sometimes he trains with partners. He’s also not afraid to put his boxing skills to use either and usually opts to throw a right handed hook. This was the subject of viral gossip when he even landed an over hand right on a grown man before running away laughing.
With this information available – it seems that Hasbulla adopts an orthodox boxing stance when fighting. Furthermore, when looking through the videos of him fighting and sparring, it’s fair to say that Hasbulla is primarily a boxer as opposed to other martial arts, and throwing punches is his biggest strength.
Hasbulla does MMA
Due to his size, it makes sense that Hasbulla grapples against kids rather than men. In some videos, we’ve seen him do this which looks like a mixture of MMA and grappling sparring. This means a mixture of BJJ and wrestling – but he’s not exactly hitting kids which is sensible. Although Hasbulla does partake in grappling – as mentioned his main love is boxing. It makes sense that Hasbulla does know some grappling after all, considering he’s trained with Khabib Nurmagomedov.
Hasbulla has poor kicks
If we’re being honest, Hasbulla’s kicking techniques could do more work and it looks clear that he hasn’t been practicing this area of striking. This could be seen when he squared up against Abdul Rozik during a press conference. Here, Hasbulla looked solid whilst throwing punches and kept a good guard whilst jabbing. However, when he went to throw a kick, it’s clear that his technique was lacking and this nearly made him fall over. In summary, this is probably the weakest area of Hasbulla when it comes to his martial arts.
Will Hasbulla vs Abdul Rozik ever happen?
Due to the language barrier – it’s not really known whether Hasbulla will end up fighting Abdul Rozik. Having said this, it looks like this fight was genuinely meant to happen at some point before dying down. At its peak, the internet was full of rumors that the fight would go down and would either be an MMA fight or boxing bout. Some people speculated that Rozik would win, whilst others thought Hasbulla would due to his MMA training. Nonetheless, as the hype has now died down – it looks like this one grows ever less likely to happen.
Perhaps one reason for this is the issue of getting it sanctioned. Due to Hasbulla’s physical state, this fight would probably never be scheduled in the western world at least. However, there is still a fierce ongoing rivalry between the two as they both continue to mock and laugh at one another whilst flexing their metaphorical muscles.
Conclusion
Whilst Hasbulla may not be the best martial artist in the world – what is admirable about him is his attitude to training and trying his hardest. With this said, you could argue that he’s got the mentality of a true martial artist. In summary, Hasbulla mostly specializes in boxing as well as general MMA training and a bit of grappling. Like many Dagestani residents, it seems that he’s been bitten by the martial arts bug and genuinely loves it. At the same time, Hasbulla should also be categorized as a hobbyist rather than a serious competitor.
