A list of interesting facts about The Iranian Hulk

The Iranian Hulk is the nickname of Sajad Gharibi, an Iranian bodybuilder who shot to internet fame after showing off his huge appearance. Here, his huge frame and cartoon-like muscles shocked viewers and as a result, the appropriate nickname of ‘Iranian Hulk’ was quickly born. Sometimes, he is also called the Persian Hulk as well.

Since then, The Iranian Hulk has capitalized on his fame by featuring in boxing matches and has also been spoken about for potential MMA fights as well. Whilst it may be a stretch to call him a proper martial artist, his sheer size alone makes him a scary figure. If you want to know more, then here are some interesting facts about the Iranian Hulk.

How heavy is the Iranian Hulk?

According to Wikipedia, the Iranian Hulk weighs 385lbs. This translates to just under 175KG which would make him one of the heaviest men on earth. Looking at his body, he is big all over. Not only does the Iranian hulk have a large upper body, his legs are also freakishly big. Interestingly, he is only 6’1” which means he is incredibly wide for his size as well. He has also claimed that his biceps are over 30cm in width as well.

How old is the Iranian Hulk?

The Iranian Hulk was born in 1991. This means that he is still in his 30s. As a result, this has opened up the opportunity to have plenty of fights in the future due to his age. If he was 10 years older then arguably his potential career would be much shorter as fighting is certainly a young man’s game.

Did Iranian Hulk fight Martyn Ford?

For several years, the Iranian Hulk was meant to be fighting the British bodybuilder Martyn Ford. Unfortunately, this never materialized for multiple reasons. Sometimes in the fight business, some bouts are just destined to never happen. It looks like this was the case for Iranian Hulk vs. Martyn Ford. According to Ford, he pulled out as he believed he could seriously hurt Hulk. After looking at Hulk’s eventual debut loss, this claim by Ford looked to be justified.

Interestingly during a stare down, Ford easily pushed Hulk to the floor with relative ease. A lot of viewers claimed that this was because Ford was far stronger than Iranian Hulk. Some even went as far as to say that this is why they didn’t fight – because Hulk realized at that point that Ford’s strength and power would have been too much for him.

What happened in Iranian Hulk’s boxing debut?

Despite years of build up against Martyn Ford, in the end Iranian Hulk fought Kazakh Titan in a boxing match instead. Physically, Kazakh Titan looked smaller than Iranian Hulk but was also way more natural looking. In this fight, Kazakh Titan looked far more technical and controlled the bout, before eventually knocking out Iranian Hulk in the first round.

This led many theories to be confirmed, that Iranian Hulk may have looked big but he wasn’t a natural fighter or martial artist. Remember, lifting weights is one thing but knowing how to fight is a completely different skill set altogether. In other words, being a bodybuilder isn’t the same as being a martial artist. This is especially the case if you’re too big which makes you too stiff to move properly. After his loss, Hulk claimed he had literally trained boxing for a couple of weeks in the build up.

Arguably, learning MMA would have been even harder for Iranian Hulk due to having to learn even more skills as opposed to just boxing. This may be one reason why we’re yet to see him enter a cage fight.

Is Iranian Hulk natural?

Just looking at Iranian Hulk, you can see that his body is far from natural. Aside from using PEDs, it looks as though he may have used synthol as well. This basically fills the muscles up with liquid which is why they can look balloon-like. However, synthol will not make you stronger. Therefore, it is often used for vanity reasons rather than practical applications.

This may have been what led to him getting pushed down so easily by Martyn Ford, as he was physically far weaker than he actually looked. Similarly, his loss against Kazakh Titan also showed that despite looking big, he probably wasn’t as strong as his muscles indicated.

What is The Iranian Hulk’s record?

As of 2022, the Iranian Hulk’s record is 0-1 in boxing. He is yet to fight in MMA but was even called out by UFC fighter Brian Ortega. Although he accepted, this never took place and realistically wouldn’t be sanctioned. Due to his humiliating debut loss, it is unclear whether he’ll actually fight again in boxing or MMA.
