Dave Leduc Will Move To Cambodia & Open MMA Gym
In a recent Instagram post, Dave Leduc announced that he is moving his family to the nation of Cambodia. The Lethwei globetrotting superstar is originally from Canada, but has lived in countries such as Turkey, and is a citizen of Myanmar.
During the post, Leduc thanked Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet personally for the warm welcome and mentioned that Cambodia was a very stable and easy country to conduct business, as well as being close to Myanmar. This is not just a personal opinion either. People may not know that Cambodia is one of the easiest countries to own a business for foreign nationals in Asia, as well as having some of the lowest tax rates in the region.
Leduc also plans to open a hybrid MMA gym in the country called DAV Gym, this will allow him to train professionally while living in a country not too well known for its martial arts history. The name DAV gym is obviously from Leduc’s first name, as well as translating to the word “sword” in the Khmer language.
For those wanting to train at the gym, you will have to wait a little while as Leduc doesn’t officially live in the country until March. Updates for when DAV gym officially opens will be available on the official Instagram page here.
As for Leduc’s second home-nation of Myanmar, it doesn’t look like he will be returning home any time soon. The country is still in huge political crisis, with economists predicting that the country may collapse, with education and healthcare significantly deteriorating last year.
