Paddy Pimblett shows off impressive physical transformation
Scouse Liverpool MMA fighter Paddy Pimblett is not just known for his martial arts skills. Outside of the cage, he’s also known for his love of food, including Wispa gold’s, Mcdonald’s burgers, and doughnuts. As a result, this has led to some serious criticism surrounding his professionalism, with the likes of TJ Dillashaw even calling him unprofessional and stating that he was on course for diabetes.
At the same time, Pimblett has still continued his success in the octagon so he must be doing something right. Basically, he can go from being overweight to looking like a shredded fighter within weeks and still gets the job done. As seen below, Pimblett clearly has a fat belly and rounder face on the left image. However, on the right he looks ripped with minimal body fat and more of a gaunt face.
According to Paddy, he is a self-confessed ‘fat boy’ who would be fat without MMA. Although he says this in a joking manner, there’s certainly an element of truth to this. Combined with his long, blond hair – he doesn’t really look like a fighter when he’s not preparing in a camp. So, why is this? As mentioned earlier, the bulk of this is to do with his diet.
It’s no secret that Paddy has a sweet tooth and loves processed foods that are often high in fats or sugars. These are quite unhealthy and can lead to quick weight gain due to big calories. He also claims to naturally fill out in the face which doesn’t help his image either. When Pimblett gets closer to a fight though, his diet changes drastically. It’s out with the burgers and in with the chicken, rice, and vegetables. Combined with intense workouts and sparring, the weight will quickly drop off him. Remember, Pimblett has been an MMA fighter since his teenage years so it’s not too difficult for him to achieve such drastic weight changes.
