Bobby Green’s coach claims Petr Yan and Rafael Fiziev bought steroids in Thailand

In a recent Joe Rogan MMA podcast, UFC fighter Bobby Green featured with his coach and step father, Jake Behney. Here, Behney spoke openly about how he believed Petr Yan and Rafael Fiziev both used steroids to enhance their performances whilst fighting in the UFC.

According to the father-son duo, a number of high-profile fighters would choose to have an MMA camp hosted in Thailand. Joe Rogan believed this was to learn Muay Thai which makes sense, but according to Green and Behney, it was actually because steroids were easily obtained over the counter there, whilst USADA did not visit the country to test for drug use.

Speaking on the issue, Green said Yan hid back acne at the weigh-ins “We’re getting ready for the walkout and the UFC says, go over there, take your shirts off on the scale, blah blah blah. He looked like he’d seen the police, like ‘what, take my shirt off?’ – because he didn’t want to show off his acne back.”

Although back acne may be a sign of performance-enhancing drugs, it doesn’t mean that someone is potentially using them. Behney chimed in, “I can tell you 100% that I know for the fact that they all do stuff. I watched them buy them. I was in Thailand…there’s great recovery. (Fiziev) is over 200 pounds out there. One of my guys gets staph, we didn’t know they sold all of that sort of stuff at the pharmacies. He’s like, what do you want, steroids? I’ve never had any of my guys test positive for anything.”
