Taekwondo fanatic Ma Kyal Sin shot dead during Myanmar protest

Whilst all deaths are always sad, the passing of Ma Kyal Sin has came as particularly awful news to the martial arts community. The 19 year old was shot dead during a peaceful protest in Myanmar just two days ago. Since her death, she has gained heroic status for standing up for what she believed in and has became a figure of defiance in the country.

This comes after a military coup took place one month ago and has the country in a stranglehold ever since. It turns out that Ma Kyal Sin was a big fan of Taekwondo and had been photo’d training the art in the dobok. At just 19 years old, she had her life ahead of her which only adds to the pain.
