Unearthed photos of boxing coach Freddie Roach during his younger days

These days, Freddie Roach is widely regarded as one of the greatest boxing coaches of all time. Known for greatly improving fighters’ technique and offering good analytical advice, it’s fair to say that he’s earned his highly esteemed reputation. When you look through these photos though, it shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise. Simply put, Freddie Roach has been surrounded by boxing since his birth so it makes sense that his mind is so knowledgable when it comes to the sweet science.

Over the years, Roach has trained the likes of Mike Tyson, Manny Pacquiao, Julio Cesar Chavez, Oscar de La Hoya, and many more. In total, Roach has coached over 35 World Champions in boxing which says it all. If you want to be the best, you must train with the best. In this article, we shall look through his younger years which can be quite eye-opening.
