Matt Hughes shows off physical transformation after 2017 train crash

Back in 2017, ex-UFC Welterweight Champion Matt Hughes nearly died after crashing his car into an oncoming train. Because of this he suffered head trauma and entered a coma. Eventually, he came out of his coma which prompted his friend to call it a ‘miracle’. Since then, he has undergone constant physical therapy.

As seen in the picture below, Hughes could barely walk after he first came out of hospital which is understandable considering he nearly died. However, he has updated fans with his physical progression which has literally meant years of workouts to rebuild his body. And, whilst he may not look like he did in his prime during his MMA years during his 20s, it’s still fair to say that Hughes is back in good shape and looks a million times more healthy compared to when he first started his recovery.

Obviously, it would help to have the mind of a champion to begin his recovery – which would not have been easy and would have required lots of time and patience. It also serves as an inspiration to others that if you keep at something you can always improve.
